Welcome to the

a Queer-Centric Sanctuary

for Spiritual Living

Founded on the principal
belief that we increase
our benefit to the world
around us by celebrating
the diversity of our
community,
the
Contemplative Order of
Compassion provides
esoteric, metaphysical,
secular humanist and
practitioners of the
world’s mystical spiritual
traditions with a home.

who we are

what we believe

Seeking to diminish the internalised hostility, self-loathing and
doubts that can occur in a society whose heteronormative
ideology can produce homophobic, transphobic and socially-unjust
attitudes toward the Queer community, we consciously choose to
affirm our identity as a Queer-centric Spiritual Community.

We reject the construct of forced dogmatic beliefs and consciously
replace creedal statements with the following core values:

  • We affirm the inherent dignity and worth of every person.

  • We affirm our inherent right to seek truth and meaning in
whatever way is right for the individual.

  • We affirm the right of every person to full bodily autonomy.

  • We affirm the right to justice, equity and compassion for every
    person.

  • We affirm the inherent right to autonomy and respect with
regard to identity, gender, culture and personal expression.

  • We commit ourselves to strive to live in accordance with the
    Charter for Compassion.

guiding principles

We subscribe to these guiding principles, not as dogma or creed,
but as common ground and the fabric of our community:

  • We honour the Primordial Mother - the Aion Teleos - as
Source, Wisdom, the Ineffable Birther and Allness of the
Cosmos. She is the Proarché - The One Who Existed Before the
    Beginning.

  • We affirm that it is impossible to be separated from our
    connection and Oneness with Source.

  • We affirm the Cosmic Unity of the Morningstar (Christ/Lucifer)
and our Essential Unity with Them.

  • We recognise that when Rabbi Jesus referred to Abwoon (the
Birther of the Cosmos) in the Lord’s Prayer, He was not
referring to the gods of the Old Testament, including the
Demiurge, but rather to She Who Existed Before the Beginning.

  • We acknowledge the power and authority of the Apostles,
bestowed upon them by the Morningstar through the Sacred
Mysteries of the Last Supper and fulfilled on Pentecost.

  • We affirm the unbroken lineage and succession of the Apostles
through the laying on of hands, held by the Elders of our
    Communion. (Apostolic Succession)

  • We experience the Real Presence of the Morningstar in the
    Eucharistic Meal, whether by transubstantiation,
    consubstantiation or ethereal manifestation.

  • We affirm the sacred ensoulment of all manifest creation, and
the divine nature of the Soul as an expression of our True
    Selves.

  • We affirm that the construct of "god" represents the Supreme
Power of Love, which becomes the Sacred Force of Creation
and the very power of the practitioner.

  • We adopt a position that Rabbi Jesus the Nazarene reveals the
Nature and Substance of Source, and serves as our primary
inspiration, teacher and spiritual leader, without ascribing
constructs of "salvation" or exclusion of other spiritual teachers
    throughout the Aeons.

It is customary for the presiding bishop-
protector of the Order to establish for
themselves and adopt a coat of arms as their
Official Seal to signify and mark their service
to the Order.

On Bishop-Protector Francis-Maria of the
Immaculata’s seal we find the Tau-Mu symbol
from the back of the Miraculous Medal,
representing their devotion to the Sacred &
Immaculate Hearts of Divine Mother and
Child.

Beside it is the sacred sigil of the Morningstar,
Christus-Luciferus. A stylised rainbow to
represent the Order being Queer-Centric.
Below the shield is the Ek Ong Kaar -- sacred
symbol of the Ineffable and the Sacred Heart
of Wisdom. A ram’s head tops the crest,
representing the merging of Christ and
Lucifer in Essential Oneness.

Francis-Maria’s motto, “Servientes Luci et
Tenebrae, Pietas et Sapientia.,” translates as
“Serving Light and Darkness, Compassion and
Wisdom.”
